Lymphedema, resulting from the treatment for breast cancer, makes up a large percentage of the patients seen at Lymflo Therapies. Thus, we are pleased to participate in community events that bring awareness to breast cancer research and education.

Casting For Recovery

Lymflo Therapies has been involved in the Casting For Recovery Program (CFR) since 2002. Casting For Recovery is a national non-profit, support and educational program for women who have or have had breast cancer. In the program women learn how to fly fish. At the same time, women come to learn how their inner beings are reflected outwardly in nature and how nature can be used as a symbol of life to aid in their health and healing. For the years 2002-2004, CFR has brought their program to North Carolina where therapists from Lymflo Therapies have been involved as medical facilitators, educating women concerning the prevention and treatment of lymphedema. Lymflo Therapies also makes an annual donation to CFR to aid in the mission that women may attend these retreats at no cost.
